Where do you deliver?

I deliver to East Dulwich and roughly 1.5 miles all around. So, Brockley, Honor Oak, Herne Hill, Denmark Hill, Peckham, Nunhead and all the other Dulwiches. There’s a map below. But, if you live close by to this and you’re just outside my usual zone, do get in touch and I can probably come to you as well!

I’m out of your delivery area, will you still bring me a box?

Possibly! I do occasionally make deliveries to different areas, if I happen to be heading that way anyway. I announce this in advance on my Instagram, so follow me there if you want to keep an eye on my movements. If you’re only a tiny bit outside the delivery area, I can probably bring you a box, get in touch and I’ll see what I can do. Otherwise, you’re very welcome to come and collect from me in East Dulwich.

Can I collect from you?

Yes! Please do! I’m always happy for anyone to come and collect from here. I’m in East Dulwich, SE22.

Can I change one of the plants in the box?

Yes! Just get in touch with me, let me know which box you would like and which plant you would like to change and I’ll get back to you with some suggested replacements. Depending on the plant sizes, there may be a small additional cost for this, of around £5.

Are these plants safe for pets?

Quite a lot of houseplants can be toxic if they’re eaten by cats or dogs (or other pets or small children…) Details for each plant is listed alongside the box, if they are known to have toxic effects. If you have a pet who likes to nibble plants, then I’d be happy to switch out any of these plants for different ones. Please get in touch and let me know. However, I would recommend that you keep any plants out of reach of pets who might eat them, even if they are plants not known to have any toxic effects, just to be on the safe side.

I’m a plant killer, which box is best for me?

I’ve put together all of these boxes with plants that I find low maintenance and which tend to be forgiving if you forget them for a while, so I would hope any box would work out okay for you. That said, all of our homes have different light, different temperatures, different draughts etc, and we water at different frequencies, so it may be that something I find easy doesn’t grow as well for you (and vice versa). On the whole, the bigger a plant is, the easier it is going to be to look after (it has more established roots as well as more space in the pot for water and nutrients in the compost) so the baby box is the selection that will take the most care to look after when you first get them, and boxes one and two should be the easiest. Each box comes with a folder of care guides for the plants in your box, and I am adding to a more in depth library of care guides here on the blog too, so hopefully there are some tips there that will be useful. And please feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions about any of your plants…

Why do the plants in your boxes sometimes change?

The plants available for me to buy from the wholesalers change every day, so sometimes I might have to wait a few days before I can get a plant back in stock if I have sold out. If I think the wait is too long, I might offer a different plant in the boxes for a while.

Do you offer a subscription service?

Not right now, but it’s something I’m looking into…

Can you include a gift card with a delivery?

Absolutely. I have some really beautiful cards with illustrations by the amazing Lucy Wayne, and I’d be happy to write a message and include it with your box if you’re giving it as a present. Just let me know on the contact form what you’d like to say.

Why is it payment by bank transfer only?

Sorry, I know it’s a pain! While I am trialling this whole idea, I’m taking payment only by bank transfer once you’ve sent me a message, firstly so I can check on delivery details and make sure you’re in my delivery area, and secondly because a lot of automated payments (PayPal for example) take quite a large cut of the money for transfers to businesses. I am trying to keep my costs as low as possible, so that the boxes are a good deal, and I don’t want to give any of my profits away right now! If all goes well and this keeps going beyond the trial I will add an automated payment option to the site.

How long is the trial running?

Erm, probably until January, and then I will assess everything and see where I go from there! All very much TBD…

I want to put in an order for delivery as a Christmas present. How do I do that?

If you want me to deliver late in December as a Christmas present that is no problem at all! I’ll be delivering up until the weekend of December 19th/20th and I’ll be taking a break after that. If you’d like to make an order for delivery around then, please place the order as soon as you can, so I can make sure I have the right stock available, and we can fix up a delivery date for late December.

Any other questions that I’ve not answered here?

Please get in touch and I’ll get back to you…
